Every video creates a new page that can rank in Google search and the world’s second largest search engine: YouTube. Videos are perfect for a new photo gallery, First Impression post, or landing page post to engage potential clients while helping SEO.
Time: 2 hours per video
Directions:
Complete your YouTube About page with a Channel Description and Custom Links.
Create a welcome video for your First Impression post or About page. Or create a video slideshow for a photo gallery or landing page post. UPDATED 6/9/15 – To create a slideshow go to https://www.youtube.com/upload and click Create Photo Slideshow on the right side.
Rename the video file to use relevant keywords. For example, “default123.mp4” should change to “about-zach-prez-video.mp4.”
Upload the video to YouTube.
Optimize the video title for a phrase that’s different than the ones on your website. For example, a photo gallery might rank for “family Christmas photo gallery” and the video can rank for a related phrase like “Christmas card examples slideshow.”
Add a robust description with details about what’s happening in the video. Incorporate any relevant keywords and include a link to your website (make sure to include http://).
Choose five tags (example: photography, Sacramento, gallery, wedding, reception).
Choose a Video Location (example: the session location) under Advanced Settings.
Embed or link to the video from a page of your website. See support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780?hl=en.
Share the video on your Google+ page, Facebook and Pinterest.
