Most companies would love to have professional photos of their products or services and will gladly feature and link to you.
Time: 30 minutes per vendor
Directions:
Scan through your past photos for products and services from other businesses. This can include clothing, props, wedding vendors (flowers, invitations, cake, DJ), and venues.
Send photos to each company. A valuable partner, like a wedding coordinator, might deserve even more, such as a branded thumb drive containing your photos along with a bottle of wine.
“I captured your work in a recent session. Feel free to feature these on your website. It would be really great if you linked it to my post about that session at www.zachprez.com/session-name/.”
In the future, capture venues and vendors during the session.
- Capture a photo of the wedding coordinator in action.
- Snap a photo of the local park during your family portrait session to submit to the city’s website.
- Take a stand-alone photo of the newborn beanie you bought on Etsy.
Bonus: Seek out online products that have awful photos and offer to take a professional one in exchange for a link or maybe even a free product.
Note: If someone features your work on Facebook (not helpful for SEO), ask them to post your photo on their website too. Even if it means you have to write the post for them.
